A new protected area was declared in the municipality of Topolovgrad – the natural landmark “Chernite Skali”

The Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov declared by order a new protected area - the natural landmark “Chernite Skali”. The area is located on the land of the village of Oreshnik, Topolovgrad municipality, Haskovo district.
The natural landmark “Chernite Skali” was declared in order to preserve the characteristic rock formations - remarkable objects of inanimate nature.
The area of the protected territory is 68,250 decares. Within the territory the following activities are forbidden: construction, probing and extraction of mineral resources, violation of the integrity of rock formations and any others that may disturb their natural state or reduce their aesthetic value.
The order will be promulgated in the State Gazette and the natural landmark will be entered in the State Register of Protected Areas at the Ministry of Environment and Water.
