The next edition of the educational initiative "Green Olympics" is scheduled to begin on December 4. The campaign is traditionally supported by the Ministry of Environment and Water and aims to foster ecological culture among adolescents.

In 2024, the theme of the Olympics will be climate change. The questions are dedicated to this topic, as well as the last tenth task in each test - in which participants have to write a short essay.

The "Green Olympics" includes students from 1st to 12th grade, who wish to test their knowledge about nature conservation by solving tests in three age groups. Bulgarians living abroad can also register on the online platform specially created for the competition.

This year, the winners will receive equipment for spending more time in nature - a tent, a hiking jacket, and a backpack.

The "Green Olympics" has been organized by the educational portal "Akademika BG" since 2012 and is one of the largest online educational initiatives on environmental issues, covering schools throughout the country.
