Deputy Minister Mihaela Krumova participated in a conference on green technologies and sustainable development in education

Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Mihaela Krumova participated today in the official opening of the annual conference of the Center for Human Resources Development (CHRD) under the title "Green Technologies and Sustainable Development in Education and the Youth Sector", whose aim is to recognize youth projects in the field of green transition, implemented with the support of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. The event was held at the Grand Hotel Millennium in Sofia.

"Young people see opportunities where the world and its political leaders often see obstacles. I believe that you are the generation that sees at the environmental transition beyond the complexity of the green transition and imagines a better world." This is how Deputy Minister Krumova addressed the present representatives of educational and youth programs with a focus on environmental protection and leading experts from educational institutions and the scientific community.

"Overcoming climate challenges requires us to have a different way of thinking, a different behavioral model, and this would not be possible without the vital role of education. It is through education that the seeds of innovation are sown and the next generation is educated. That is why it is so important for the team of the Ministry of Environment and Water to continue to support initiatives, such as the current one by the Center for Human Resources Development, which give young people access to invaluable opportunities for development and exchange of knowledge in the field of green technologies and sustainable practices," emphasized Mihaela Krumova in her address.

The panel discussions within the conference program marked by the topic of innovations and technologies that can help protect the environment, thereby emphasizing the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs for training and exchange of good practices in this area.

Deputy Minister Mihaela Krumova participated in the opening of the forum together with the Minister of Education and Science Prof. Dr. Galin Tsokov, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Petar Mladenov and the Executive Director of the Center for Human Resources Development Nikolay Spasov.
