Response of the Ministry of Environment and Water of the Republic of Bulgaria - by letter No. 99-00-467/06.12.2024, The Minister of Environment and Water has expressed his opinion on the submitted EIA in relation to the transboundary procedure under the EIA Convention for the project "Increasing the share of electricity production from renewable sources by completing the works and ensuring permanent monitoring of the environmental impact of the hydropower plant on the Jiu River in the Livezeni - Bumbesti sector” - continuation of the remaining works to be executed at the AHE Livezeni - Bumbesti" in accordance with the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a transboundary context (ESPOO).
New, Today 15.10.2024, the MoEW provides public access to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the transboundary procedure "Increasing the amount of electricity generated from renewable sources through the completion of civil works and ensuring the permanent monitoring of the environmental impact of the hydropower development on the river Giu in the sector Livezeni- Bumbești", Romania, provided by letter № DGEICPSC/126431/14.10.2024 from the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests of Romania (ref. No. 99-00-467/15.10.2024 from the Ministry of Environment) in accordance with the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (ESPOO Convention).In Romania's letter, Bulgaria is given until 15 November 2024 to respond.
