Minister Petar Dimitrov and the Ministers of Environment of Romania and Ukraine discussed the situation in the Kerch Strait
13 Jan, 2025 | 14:02The Minister of Environment and Water Petar Dimitrov participated today in a video conference call with the Minister of Environment and Forestry of Romania Mircea Fеchet and the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk.
The specific reason for today's meeting were publications in the media and social networks about the movement of a spot from the oil spill caused by the accident with Russian tankers near the Kerch Strait.
The three ministers exchanged information received on the case by the ministries from scientific organizations and institutions in each of the three countries, according to which there is no movement of spots from the spill in the Black Sea.
In coordination, the three countries are monitoring the Black Sea environment and the coast after the incident in the Kerch Strait, and the Minister of Environment of Bulgaria Petar Dimitrov is in constant contact with his colleagues from Romania and Ukraine.
