Science and Innovations in Support of Climate, Sustainability, and Citizens - From Local to National and Global Perspectives and Lessons for Better Policies, Practices, and Quality of Life

Event at the Faculty of Economics, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", ESG Lab, Net-Zero Lab, and the National Centre for Polar Research From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Room 420 at the Faculty of Economics, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Block 3.

Climate changes affect each and every one of us, but they can also be influenced by each and every one of us, at the regional, national, European Union, and global levels. Therefore, in the first part of the event, Net-Zero Lab and ESG Lab at the Faculty of Economics emphasize the need for progress in applying existing and recently adopted European policies such as the Net-Zero Industry Act, including in strategic plans for the development of technologies with potential zero net emissions, especially at the level of a member state. The second part of the conference focuses on scientific diplomacy and research related to changes in the environment of Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
