Strategic Environmental Assessment procedure for General Transport Masterplan of Romania

Notification by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Romania

Pursuant to Art. 35, p.1, “b” of the Regulation on the  conditions and procedures for environmental assessment of plans and programmes and according to the provisions of Directive 2001/41/EC and the Protocol on Strategic Environmental Assessment to the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context, the Ministry of Environment and Water

In connection with the current SEA procedure for General Transport Masterplan of Romania, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Romania has submited notification to MoEW of Bulgaria with summaries of the plan and SEA Report.

MoEW of Bulgaria has informed by letter  the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Romania that Republic of Bulgaria expresses the willingness to participate in the SEA procedure. /08.12.2014/

Letter by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests of Romania according to willingness of the Republic Bulgaria to participate in SEA procedure.  /26.01.2015/

MoEW has  confirmed the willingness to participate in the SEA procedure by letter to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests of Romania, as it is requested the SEA documentation and draft of the Plan to be submitted at MoEW for publication and public consultations. /02.02.2015/

There is public access provided on the internet at:  http://www.mmediu.ro/categorie/evaluare-de-mediu-pentru-strategii-planuri-programe/60  (title: MASTER PLANUL GENERAL DE TRANSPORT [04.05.2015]) to the documentation in English for a period of 30 days from 07.05.2015. Access to the documentation is provided in the building of  Ministry of Environment and Water,  “W. Gladston” 67 Street, 4th floor, room 409.

The non-technical summary of the SEA report, summary of the Plan and completion to the SEA report made in connection with the request of the Ministry are published in Bulgarian.

Received written comments within the 30 days period will be sent promptly to the Ministry of Environment Waters and Forests of Romania to comply.

By letter of MoEW is expressed a statement to the Romanian side for the results of consultations on the SEA and plan documentation. /10.06.2015/
