Strategic Environmental Assessment procedure for Masterplan “Protection and Rehabilitation of the Romanian Coastal Zone”

Notification by the Ministry of Environment and Forests of Romania

Pursuant to Art. 35, p.1, “b” of the Regulation on the  conditions and procedures for environmental assessment of plans and programmes and according to the provisions of Directive 2001/41/EC and the Protocol on Strategic Environmental Assessment to the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context, the Ministry of Environment and Water.

A N N O U N C E 

In connection with the current SEA procedure for Masterplan “Protection and Rehabilitation of the Romanian Coastal Zone” Ministry of Environment and Forests of Romania has submited to MoEW of Bulgaria electronically, in English:

MoEW of Bulgaria has informed by letter, the Ministry of Environment and Forests of Romania that Republic of Bulgaria expresses the willingness to participate in the SEA procedure. /10.02.2012/

There is  public access provided to the listed documentattion for 30 days from 13 February 2012 as follows:

  • through the website: www.moew.government.bg;
  • at the building of MoEW, 67 W. Gladstone street, Information Centre (ground floor)q from 14.00 to 17.00 every working day (SEA and AA Reports on paper);

Received written comments up to 13.03.2012 will be sent promptly to the Ministry of Environment and Forests to comply.

Consultation results

Based on the submitted comments, opinions and statements to the Ministry of Environmen and Forests of Romania has been sent a letter with request to be carried out and submitted to MoEW of Bulgaria more detailed analyzes and evaluations of the environmental and human health impacts resulting from the Masterplan application. /03.04.2012/

Submission of additional information from Romania

Ministry  of Environment and Forest of Romania has submitted additional information about the potential impacts of the Masterplan on the territory of Republic Bulgaria.  By the MoEW of Bulgaria is expressed an opinion on the additional information. /08.06.2012/

Environmental Approval of the Masterplan “Protection and Rehabilitation of the Romanian Coastal Zone”  by Ministry of Environment and Forests of Romania

Ministry  of Environment and Forest of Romania has provided to the MoEW of Bulgaria the Environmental Approval of the Masterplan. By letter of MoEW, Romania is informed that the documentation provided is accepted for information and as confirmation that the requests of MoEW for timely submission of the results of environmental monitoring during the implementation of the plan and notifications for projects under the plan. /11.09.2012/
